Chapter 42
Jacob Astor loosed a signed contract with Ethan on June 12, Lucas also loosed a contract or was suppose to sign a contract with Ethan on that same June 12. My life is suddenly becoming an opera. I've been seating on this chair for an hour now, trying to come up with ways that this all ties to Ethan's death.
If I could blame or suspect Jacob for Ethan's death, then I suppose I can do the same to Lucas. No one is to be trusted. Besides, he popped out of nowhere to help me. How sure am I that this isn't some kind of sick game he's playing with me.
The door to the living room opened and I stayed firm on my seat, waiting for Lucas to come into sight.
