“He is Landon, my boyfriend.” Husband. I wanted to say that instead but I know that would ruin the pretense. Dad will surely have a heart attack if I will say Landon is my husband and we married secretly.

Landon didn’t return the greeting and just glanced at her once with cold and indifferent eyes. I wanted to laugh. Good for her! What does she think she is? A goddess who can lure any man she wants?
