13: Chaotic Wedding

I looked at myself in the mirror. The sight of the wedding gown makes me feel like my stomach is being twisted somewhere. When I was younger, I always thought that the moment I wear a wedding gown, it would be the happiest day of my life. But at this moment, looking at myself, the only thing I feel is pity. I pity myself for having no choice but to stoop this low.

I value marriage. It’s a sacred thing for me, yet what I will do today is a grave sin, a fraud and a form of disrespect.

It’s just sad that I couldn’t appreciate such beautiful wedding gown. I’m sure this kind of gown is every girl’s dream. I wished I could at least be a little happy for having a chance to wear it, but I just couldn’t.

I immediately wiped the tear that escaped my eye when I heard the door clicked. From the mirror, I saw Peter went in. He’s wearing a black tuxedo and a bow tie.

I faced him with a small smile.
