Daryn didn’t like what he witnessed. Freya convulsed. Her fingers scratched the table and her nails dug into the wood. Claws embedded into the wood, leaving a deep trail. Deep claw marks appeared on her body. Her blood dripped on the floor.
He stepped forward.
“No.” The elf placed a hand on his chest pushing him back. “You touch her and you both will get lost in the oblivion.”

Freya stumbled on her feet. Her head reeled from the recent time travel. Nausea rolled her stomach. Aluxious' pain-filled screams still echoed in her mind. She flinched every time his bone cracked and realigned as he shifted for the first time. First shifts were always painful, but shifting at a tender age of six, he died thrice and came back.
