CHAPTER FIFTY-FOUR

Diana

TILL THE NEXT morning, Diana did not see Aiden. When it was near time for her to leave, she decided to go to him. She stood in front of his office and knocked twice. 

At the third knock, the door opened, revealing a stone-faced Aiden with red rims around his irises, making his grey eyes look more bestial. 

She cleared her throat as she noticed the same human she saw the last time, sitting cross-legged on the floor beside Aiden's desk.

"Leave, human," Aiden ordered, walking back into the office. 

The girl scrambled to her feet, bowed her head and scurried out of the room. However, Diana didn't miss the two punctured holes in her neck.
