Diana
THE MOST DIFFICULT thing for Diana to do was pretend. To pretend she was fine when she was in a constant struggle to shut down and forget everything.
The struggle was tiring and all she wanted was for someone to share the burden with her… but could she be that selfish to doom someone else?
The sight of a bloodied Robin with bites and slashes all over him was the last push that tipped her over the edge. Immediately she was overwhelmed with so much anger, even more than she could bear.
Anger at Doctor Young, at the humans and worst of all, anger at herself. The last one instantly quenched the anger, replacing it with guilt which worsened as Aiden stormed out of the first living room on seeing her.
"Don't blame yourself, Diana, there was no way you could have known they'd attack so soon," Robin croaked, wincing shortly after.
Aiden“I AM THE crown, Aiden.”He replayed Diana’s words in his head as if it was something he had to know to pass a test. At that moment, he felt as if that’s what the entire situation was… nothing but an assessment to understand the capability of his knowledge. He had just watched hundreds of his people fall in a fight against the zombies, and it was all for a crown he had never seen before… or so he had thought, before finding out that the crown of omnipotence had been living under his roof. For centuries, there was a wall wedged between the supernaturals to retrieve the ancient relic.Through their continuous fighting spirit and determination, rumour had it that the artifact was obtained by the werewolves, and had remained in their possession for over two hundred years.Even though he&rsq
DianaFOR A LONG time, Diana had never felt so light. It was true what people said that a problem shared is a problem half solved. She knew she had a long way to go, but speaking was a huge leap from where she used to be.Since all of the surviving vampires had relocated to the Moonshine pack, they couldn't access the weapons they made with the 'Zombie Killer' and other weapons. They still hadn't changed the name much to Rudolph's annoyance. He hated the name and made sure the hatred showed whenever it was mentioned. Two days after her confession to Aiden, Diana decided to come clean with everything she had and knew. There was no more time, especially not after what she saw the previous night."What did you want to show us, Diana?" Aiden asked as they followed her down the narrow passageway."You'll see," that was her simpl
AidenTHE MOST BEAUTIFUL things are the most deadly and the most wanted things are the most difficult to get. All his life, he had always wanted more… more than he was ever given and more than he achieved. As an overachiever, it wasn't difficult for him to reach the top of the food chain once he was given the right platform; the throne.Seeing the wonder in front of him, Aiden only had thoughts of how much he wanted to have and possess. No matter how abominable and unheard of his desire was, Aiden wanted nothing more. The discovery of what lay underneath the pale skin of the goddess-like Shewolf only stood to add to the already burning desire that kept on brewing in him since the first time he set his stormy grey eyes on her.The sight before him was astounding. Her ocean-blue fur was thick and fluffy but what stood out more was her limbs whic
DianaEVERYTHING SEEMED TO have happened in seconds. One moment, they were preparing to attack, and in the next, the zombies attacked. After making sure her friends and other civilians were safe back at camp, safeguarded by some soldiers, Diana joined other soldiers in preparing for the zombies' arrival.Their snarls and hisses were coming from the bounding trees across the vampire camp. The vampires rounded the weapons trunks and selected their preferred weapons. Diana grabbed twin swords since Seraph was still in the vampire kingdom. She waited, plagued highly with apprehension as she listened to the sounds of their approaching footsteps. Her eyes met Aiden's worried ones as he tried to send her a reassuring nod which did nothing to boost her plunging morale. It didn't take long for the zombies to rea
"King Aiden of all vampires, it is an honour to be in your presence. I have heard so much about you and I must say that I am not disappointed," Gary said, gesturing to the zombies laying out all around the field."I see my reputation precedes me. You and I know that you haven't come here for a chat."Save both of our time and tell me what you want, Dr Young," Aiden responded in a very blank tone, his facial expression giving nothing away."Oh, please, your Highness, call me Gary. Let's not kid ourselves here, you know what I want."It is in both of our benefits that you hand it over and I will take my men and go on my merry little way," Gary demanded with a wide grin."And if I don't?" Aiden tested and Diana knew what was coming. As she expected, he busted into a fit of giggles. "You are so funny, your Highness. But if you don't-
DianaNO MATTER HOW hidden something might seem to be, life would find a way to bring it to light.More than half of Diana's life had been spent waiting for her other half, the one who would complete her in every way.Learning about soul mates for the first time; filled Diana with so much longing that her young heart couldn't comprehend. All her young self-desired was to feel the love from that one special person. She recalled late nights with Debora, fantasizing about a person she had never seen. She would wonder what their hair colour would be, their eye colour and what they would sound like. Either way, she would have loved them more than life itself. But that was three years ago, and now she was too damaged to feel so much love for another person when she couldn't even love herself.Still, that didn
IN A MOMENT, a thousand things went wrong. Two shots were fired and a body went down, the loud thud echoed throughout the field. In a moment, two hearts were broken. As the body dropped with a pained groan, Aiden gestured for commander Colton to throw the first grenade.Someone screamed at the explosion and Aiden used the opportunity to utilise the moment of chaos. The vampire soldiers moved fast at Aiden's command and before the humans could blink, the vampire had entered their side of the field.Amidst the mayhem, Aiden rushed to pick up Diana from the ground just as Rudolph came running out.Rudolph had a look of anguish on his face with his hand gripping his chest. He took a long look at Diana who laid in Aiden's arms with blood gushing out of her chest and immediately feared the worst.Rudolph choked back a sob as he s
Diana SHE WAS DREAMING of green land and grasses that grew up to her knees. The smell of salt was in the air with a slight chill attached to it. An addicting rush of calmness enveloped her entire being, pulling her deeper into the depths of a different dimension. The smell of nature tickled her nose pleasantly, luring her further. This was everything she wanted; a world, peaceful and devoid of violence. She felt light. Too light. She knew she was in a dream as her reality wouldn't be this peaceful. She let her mind lead her to an unknown place as she savoured the serene feeling coursing through her veins at that moment. The gentle wind blew some strands of black hair into her face as she sunk deeper. She heard some familiar voices, sounding like a faraway echo in her mind but ignored them. She would not le
