18. Mishap 2

We both turned when we heard banging on the door. Nick quickly got dressed and walked out of the room, I retrieved my clothes. I sat on the bed thinking.

I couldn’t bring myself to get dressed. I stared at my hand that was covered with bruises.

I heard a crashing sound. I got up to my feet, I ran to the bathroom to get Nick's bath robe but it wasn’t in there. I checked his wardrobe. It was like a cloth jungle. I threw almost everything out and finally found it.

I wore his bathrobe and just then the door flung open. My eyes popped out of its sucker when I saw Lucifer.

“Luci…!.” I stammered with tearing eyes.

Lucifer pulled me gently into his arms. I laid my head on his chest and cried my heart out!. It was like a dream but it was reality.

“I am sorry, I couldn’t save you!.” Lucifer whispered.

I tried to pull myself together but I couldn't, the pain of history repeating itself fell on my shoulders, I held on to Lucifer like my life depended on him.

I felt Lucifer lift me off the ground.
