Chapter 19 : interview

Nemesis’s Point of View.

Xavier had requested a personal interview with me, hoping that it would trigger some of my lost memories. Despite his vague explanation, I agreed to the meeting, eager to maintain a peaceful atmosphere and to demonstrate my willingness to cooperate. Xavier briefly shared fragments of his past, speaking of his first mate, wife, lover, and their tragic demise. His words resonated with me, and I appreciated his openness, not to mention the incredible pleasure he had given me the previous night. Uncertainty clouded our connection, and I wasn’t entirely certain about the nature of our relationship beyond being mates. In fact, I wasn’t even sure what being mates truly meant.
