Asmodeus

Shedim covered up his expression of surprise at the familiar voice as he turned around to greet him with fake kindness.

“Ah, if it isn’t dear Asmodeus. How long has it been? I thought you were in Egypt.” He asked, trying to divert his attention as soon as possible before he starts asking what Shedim was doing alone near the Hell Gate.

‘A better question would be, what was Asmodeus doing here? If I seem suspicious then he has every right to be suspicious as well. Though I cannot deny that if he has been sent here by Lucifer, then our chances of being secretive are already over, might as well stop working and begin the apocalypse. If Lucifer gets even the slightest idea that I am betraying him, he will lose it.’ Shedim relentlessly thinks about the situation.

“Are you listening to me?”

“What?” He seemed to have zoned out.

“I was saying I wasn’t in Egypt. I was in Israel. And I would have gotten out of there sooner if any of you fucking idiots had tried to help.” He growled with a menaci
