We were all sitting around the table and catching up. It was odd because it felt like no time had passed but also felt like plenty of time had passed.

It turned out that the bassinet that they found and cleaned up had actually last belonged to Imeela. It had been passed down from child to child. Ours would be next whenever we decided to have a pup.

I was proud of everything that had been accomplished here thus far. Everyone worked their asses off, us included. That had actually surprised many of them. However, it just showed them the type of people that we were – hard workers that did not mind getting dirty.

There were quite a few people who volunteered to work in the kitchen. It made them happy and also supplied all of us with delicious food. It was a win any which way that you looked at it.
