CHAPTER TEN - Business Rivals

As Lila paced back and forth in their apartment, she couldn't help but wonder who had taken Alexander and why. She knew that he was involved in something dangerous, but she never expected him to be abducted like this.

The next morning, Lila received a call from an unknown number and she only knew it would be one of the business rivals of Alexander's, demanding that she come to their office immediately. The Address was sent via a no-reply text message.

With a sense of dread, Lila made her way to the office building. She was met by a stern-looking woman in a sharp suit, who led her to a conference room.

Sitting at the head of the table was a man she recognized as one of Alexander's biggest business rivals. "Miss Alvarez," he said coolly. "I'm sure you're wondering why we've brought you here."
