Chapter 100: Crumble

MADELYN'S POV

I felt my entire world crumble right at my feet as tears trickled down my face. They had gathered in my eyes from the moment he announced the death of my parents but had only managed to flow down at that moment. I was in pain and nothing in the world could comfort me, not even the gentle and warm touch from my kids could do that. "Mama! Mama! What's going on?" Their weak frail voice seeped to me but I didn't give a damn. My parents, my sister and my brother.. No, this cannot be true. I do not believe him and I hide it not a bit. "Go away! You are lying to me!" I said to him as the tears choked my voice. I ran my hands through my hair again.
