Chapter 67: Escape plan

Kahlan POV

I was still shocked to say a word. I mean I don’t even know what is happening. It looked like I was dreaming until I decided to sleep and I woke up in bed again. I’ve been trying to wake up from the nightmare.

Why would Eric make such a decision? Why would he want me to move to a room instead of the dungeon? There must be something wrong somewhere but what can that be?

The fact that I’m unable to find out what that thing is makes me feel very frustrated.

That aside, I keep scenting things so well. I can’t believe my sense of smell is getting so good.

“You look happy,” a familiar, yet strange voice reached my ears suddenly. It was followed by this strange scent as well.

I turned to look at Hardin. The scent that followed him was not the one I was used to scenting. There was a huge mixture and it looked like I had only been scenting the smaller part, the biggest part made me feel very powerful.

I don’t want to admit it but I’m feeling strange this morning.
