Chapter 88: Not expected

ERIC'S POV

I could hear the loud sounds emanating from around me and my heart began to race against my chest like there was someone pounding against it… I felt a hand on my neck and then a force exerted itself against me. I tried to breathe but I couldn't. I began to struggle with him but It proved abortive. "What was going on with me? What's happening?" I asked myself as my life was slowly seeping out of me. I could no longer feel myself and death appeared in front of me. I heard a sudden shout that jolted me a bit. I felt relieved with no force of me. Someone had heard my cry and came to help me out. I was glad. I struggled to get up from the bed but I couldn't. I felt weak within me and unable to do a single thing.

"Oh!" I heard a loud sound and then a thud accompanying it. Perhaps, the fall had triggered my speedy recovery because, only the moon goddess could explain where I got my strength rein at that moment. I rose to my feet with a sharp movement but to my utmost surprise,
