Chapter 9

I walked back to Trevor's truck in shock. I was not expecting what was offered. Paul said it was because of my statement. The Hospital was scared I would take them for everything. Paul told me to not tell a soul except my Dad since he could help me set everything up. Paul said to just tell people that they settled the hospital bills and maybe 40, 000 dollars to get myself a new car. I was not to tell anyone else that I received 50 million dollars for malpratice against the hospital. I had sent my Dad an email to call me when he had the chance since he was still on the boat heading back from delopyment. The plan was that he was coming down next week to help me set up the account under a private bank and help make it private so no one could figure out how much money I received.

They gave me two checks. One was a cashier's check for 40,000 dollars and the 2nd one was the remaimng amount. Mr. Jacobson did that so I could have money while we set up the bank account and for it to clear.
