Chapter 59

Jason’s pov

I wanted to attend the welcome dance party just for one purpose. To make sure no one hits on my sweet little mate but Julie's text annoyed me. She wanted to meet me and said that it was something really important which can't be discussed on the phone. I was pissed yet I told her I'll be there and the most frustrating part was.

I had to lie to April about not attending the party. She was upset and it only made me edgier. I comforted her and left hoping to get done with whatever Julie had to tell me sooner.

At university she walked into my office. "What is it you wanted to talk about?" I asked as soon as she took a seat.

"My father wants to visit the university," She said.

"Why out of the blue?" I asked.

"I think he wants to check our progress." She said,

"The only reason we aren't forced into this marriage yet is that I told my father I wanted to gain your heart before marriage, and he seemed to believe me. That was why my father gave me time to be your assistant." Julie s
