25. A Glimpse of the Beast.

Lily's POV:

The moment my back hit the doorframe and Blake pushed into me, my core clenched with need, but something sinister caught my attention while I stood frozen in my tracks.

What's wrong with his eyes?

My heart pounded in my chest as I gazed into his piercing, animal-like eyes.

I looked deeper into his eyes and something about them screamed for me to run but my legs couldn't respond… oh god, what is happening to me? My breathing increased as his presence became overwhelming rather than exciting.

What is going on? I searched his eyes for answers but all I saw was something primal I had never seen in a fellow human being, I whimpered.

"Your smell is so divine my mate," he sniffed me deeply with flared nostrils while the tip of his nose touched mine, and a cold shiver ran down my spine.

What did he mean by mate? I swallowed nervously while my eyes wandered on his powerful frame towering over me as he stood just inches away from my face… he brushed his fingers lightly on my lips
