46. Bloodlust in the woods.

Blake's POV:

I turned to look at Ryan whose face was straight without any emotions on it and mindlinked to him. ' Watch them as I deal with the threat,' I said and he nodded slightly.

'Yes, Alpha, '

I turned to face my father-in-law with a forced tight-lipped smile as I rubbed my hands together. "Okay, Mr Conner you and the twins win… you can stay for as long as you want with them while I tend to some serious matters," I said to him and he frowned.

" Mr Smith, if you don't mind me asking, are you some kind of mayor of Blood Moon that you needed to tend to your important matter rather than spending time with your kids? " Mike tilted his head to one side with narrowed eyes while darting between Ryan and me.

I chortled inwardly. " I guess you can put it like that if you like," I peeked at Ryan over my shoulder and he was holding in his laughter and I couldn't blame him… imagine me being a simple wimpy mayor instead of an Alpha.

"I see," Mike answered back curtly.

I smirked mischievously
