Blake looked in her direction, and then shrugged nonchalantly, maintaining his composure. "I don't know. Perhaps she has some business to attend to within the mansion."

What business??? I raised my brow at him and he maintained his straight face.

" I don't know kitten, " he replied and I scoffed while rolling my eyes.

Something felt off by her unannounced arrival.

And as if on cue, Mrs. Smith, emerged from the house, elegantly strolling towards the redhead, eagerly embracing her.

"Khloe, it's so good to see you after a long time," my mother-in-law embraced her and my stomach knotted with rage.

So she called Blake's ex?

But why?

A frown deepened at the sight of the two women engaging in such camaraderie...

Questions and insecurities tugged at me, overshadowing the serenity of the morning. Mrs Smith and her guest strolled into the mansion.
