Half a stick of incense later, there was still no progress within the isolated cottage.

Aside from giving out ominous-sounding ‘oh ho ho’ laughs that would surely sound creepy to any third person, there was no real conversation between the two females--or at the very least, there was none that made sense, as neither of them intended to answer the other’s question. It was a futile attempt in the first place. 

Little Yin found the woman stupid, but she’s the kind of stupid that was somehow trained to be tight-lipped.

The two of them merely threw probing questions at each other, as if they were in the middle of an aristocratic tea party with blades hidden behind their smiles.
