Chapter 19

Vladimir led Calista out of the chamber, back to his room. The door to the secret chamber then turned into a mirror.

She could suddenly control her body. She felt weak and trembling. He held her in his arms as she lost her balance.

She immediately stepped back from him in fright. “Vladimir, please. I’m scared. I can’t be here anymore. I want to go now,” she pleaded into his eyes.

“I can’t let you go,” he said.

“But why?” she asked.

“Because I want to have you now.”

Fear and anxiety gripped her firmly hearing what he said. “RUN!” her mind told her.

He smiled mischievously, seeing her running out of the room. He expected her to do that. He wanted to play with his prey before he ate it.

She hurried down the stairs. When she set foot on the first floor, she immediately ran to the main door. She panicked because it was locked.

It startled her when a black shadow suddenly stood behind her. She immediately ran as fast a
