Listening to the young man talk is the most tiring event of the day. We all know why we’re here, so I do not understand the need to stress it out by having this young man stand and talk the same thing repeatedly for over an hour. The bottled water did nothing to help the situation. The perfect liquid for this situation is whiskey, scotch, Brandy, or vodka; anything but water. I’m doing this for Angela, she’s the only reason I’m seated calmly and tolerating this offensive sound in my ear.

For the tenth time, they picked up the file again and read through it, taking their goddamn time. Biting my tongue, I picked up the bottle again and emptied the content into my mouth, slamming the bottle on the table. It’s either they didn’t notice my anger, or they pretended not to notice.
