Chapter 13

Anthony was gone by the time I awoke, it was just like the other mornings, boring except for my heavy heart and throbbing– worries about work, marriage, friendship. There's just always a lot on my plate, everyday.

I traced my hands all over the empty bed, patting it, wishing my life could not get any worse.

Sighing, I forced myself out of bed, for some reason I was so tired and sluggish was the word for how my morning went until I got a call from the Dean and had to hurry up.

With haste, I made do with my bad breath and instantly turned on the shower for a hot bath. I was done in exactly 15 minutes, interesting. I slided into a long pant and hoodie before rushing out to get the car.

Minutes later, after driving like a race runner I drove into the college premise and packed on a good spot before heading out.
