"Can't be at your practice today. Gotta babysit my neighbour's dog. She's paying me ten bucks. Too low. But that's all I can do for a wasted week. Pray for me. I can't get along with dogs much. And all the best"

I open my backpack to take my jersey out when I find the note stuck on my jersey. It brings a small smile to my face. When did she put that anyway?

Chrisanna never missed any of my practice rounds. She's always so excited and I wonder how she never gets bored of watching me just running and kicking the ball.

I folded the note and put it into a small section of my backpack where I put all the notes she left for me throughout the year. Most of them are a whole page of our whole ass conversation in the classroom where we couldn't talk. She always has something to tell me.

"Hey, Sam. Whassup!" Ricky comes next to me, slamming his backpack on the stool.
