“Your medicine was thrown away by Zephyra. All medicine is a poison in some way. If you can avoid it, then don’t take it.”

Eulalia looked at his face and knew he was angry, but she didn’t know where his anger came from, nor did she know what she had done to displease him.

She just wanted her medicine. Even in such a desperate situation, she thought of surviving, but Percival ruthlessly crushed her last hope.

What more did he want from her? She felt she was already miserable enough, being constantly pushed into filthy pits, half a life in hell.

“Do you have anything else to say?” Percival asked her.

Eulalia shook her head weakly: “Nothing more, no medicine then, after all, not taking it won’t kill me, right?”

Her words seemed to be for herself, but Percival heard it differently, as if she really had a terminal illness and was about to die, and those medicines were what sustained her life.
