A thick pain brushed at the back of my head as I laid on my bed. It felt as if a laden was thrown on my body. I was almost glued to the bed. Gradually, I began to sit up, using my fingers to press the keen pain that teased from my head to my neck region.
"Claire?" I mumbled, shutting my eyes, still half asleep. "Are you there?"
Noticing I didn't get a response, I slowly opened my eyes. Scrolling my eyes through the place, I observed she wasn't in here.
"Oh, shit!" I cursed underneath my breath, the pain aggravating.
Groaning a little, I grabbed my phone from the side table, dialed Claire's number. I could step out of the room to get a Tylenol myself, but I was too tired for that.
The moment I clicked the call button, the door opened up. Good for me, it was her.
She walked in, holding a tray
It was four o'clock in the evening. A lot of students were in the hallway, probably planning to be on their way home. I walked with Tessa, holding a bunch of textbooks in my arm."Have you heard anything from your project mate?" She asked.I shook my head. "I'm not sure, but I think he's sick.""Is he aware that the project has been extended?"Taking a turn to the next hallway, I sighed. "No. I guess he'll know about that when he resumes.""He better resumes soon." She smiled warmly. "You guys need to start working really harder. It seems like you haven't been able to properly work on your project for a couple of days. Maybe you should visit him or something. If he's sick, you can both try to work at his place, right?"I let out a shaky chuckle. "Sure. I haven't thought of that before. Maybe that's what I'll do.""Hey, ladies.
"I don't think we're doing the right thing. Don't you think he still needs some time alone?" I suggested to Claire as we walked into Sebastian's big compound. She slapped my back, frowned a little. "If you ruin this, no dinner for you anymore. He doesn't need to be alone. He's literally been alone for too long. Are you nervous?"Oh. She got me."Yes," I confessed. She gasped, slapped my back again. "How can you be nervous? He loves you, doesn't he? When I wanna deal with Dave, I don't get nervous."I rolled my eyes. "Whatever. Dave is really nice, ok? Sebastian is clearly different."We reached the huge door that led to the inside of his house, stood in front of it, stared at each other."Forget about the niceness. All guys are the same, huh?" She took her time to get her door card from her purse. I totally forget
Sipping on my coffee, I took my phone from the center table in the living room, stood up from the couch, then walked to the kitchen to join Claire in there."You're cooking?"Why did I ask her that? Of course, she was always cooking. She would obviously give me a sarcastic answer. I hated that as shit."Yeah," she replied. Oops, I judge her too quickly. She wasn't being sarcastic.I stepped into the kitchen, hopped to sit on the counter. "What are we— oh, shit. I won't be able to have dinner with you. I'll be off to Sebastian's house soon. Since we've got a lot of things to work on, I might have to sleep at his house tonight, again."She had her back on me, so I couldn't see her facial expression. But the moment I had mentioned that, she gasped, lingered her hands in the air, switched off the cooker, then turned around to face me with widened eyes. I
Sitting in the college's library with Sebastian, I raked my fingers into my hair, dropped my forehead on the desk, and sighed."You're fine?" Sebastian asked, but I didn't raise my neck to look at him."I'm exhausted," I replied. "This project is getting on my nerves. It's too hard. I should have just gone to a normal University. I didn't know this course would end up being so difficult to understand."He chuckled. "Maybe you should get some rest, huh?"I raised my head, leaned my elbow on the desk, and exhaled. "That's easy for you to say. You're successful and rich."He smiled and pinched my cheek. "That doesn't matter, chic. And oh, I've been wanting to say you look really cute today.""Thank you, sir." I rolled my eyes at him.His phone rang from the desk. Taking it, he picked it up immediately.
Sebastian________"Thanks sir." The store owner smiled as she packaged the hamburger I had just bought. Handling it to me, she grinned. "Here. We hope to see you anytime soon."I returned her smile, paid for the hamburger, then headed out of the place. Stepping out, I took in a deep sigh, tired. Grabbing my phone from the pocket of my trouser, I dialed Ethan's number."Sup, man?" I greeted him first when he picked up."Nothing much. You need something?" His voice cracked as he spoke. He was obviously chewing on something."Yeah. I want you to pick me up at the local food store Adrienne and I recently visited. I came here to get her her favorite burger. Do you mind coming?""Hmm, Mr. Lover," he teased, and chuckled. "No problem. I'll be on my way there.""Thanks," I added, hung up.
Adrienne________"Aww." I smiled at Sebastian, filled with joy that he had bought me my favorite flowers. "You're so sweet. Thanks so much!"He leaned forward, dropped a kiss by the corner of my lips. "Anything for my darling."Staring at each other, we both grinned widely. But, all of a sudden, his smile disappeared. His bright eyes suddenly darkened, and his face turned pale. It felt as if a pang hit his head, causing an unexplainably pain to move through him. I could see sadness in his eyes."Are you okay?" I dropped my flowers on the small wooden table in front of us.He shook his head, blue eyes holding some tears. "I can only cry right now. I'm so pained. Just because I don't cry doesn't mean I'm so strong.""Why would you want to cry?" I shifted closer to him, took his hands."Because I'm lost. I'm lost wi
Wandering in front of the huge door of Sebastian's building, I exhaled, contemplating on whether it was important to go to him now. Of course, it was important, but I was just so nervous. I had experienced his anger before. I knew he didn't like being treated badly or being humiliated. What if what I had done to him made him so angry, or made him turn back to his old self?Okay. There was only one way to find out. I just had to walk in there, and speak with the man I liked. Well, since he liked me, there wasn't supposed to be any problem, right? Ugh! I was so confused.Swallowing hard, I inserted the door card into its slot. As if the door wanted me to speak to him as soon as possible, it opened up in only a few seconds. Maybe three seconds. Why so quick? It was probably a sign that things would work out fine between us.Stupid thought, I thought. The place was silent as usual. The
I stared at Sebastian as he glared at himself, folded his arms around his chest. Leaning his back against the comfy couch, he sighed."I can't allow it." He finally looked at me.I shifted closer to him, held his hand, soothed his palm. "Come on." My lips pulled into a childish pout. "It's gonna be fine. Trust me. You know I don't like Dave, so why are you still this worried?""He kissed you that day!" He spat out, sounding more flustered. "What if he does it again? Fine, I know you don't like him, but he likes you. Can't you understand that?"I rolled my eyes. "It's not like he'll force me to kiss him or something.""What if he does?" He snorted, and bit his forceful sneer."Hey!" I slapped his arm. "Why are you being this jealous? Nothing will happen between us, ok?""Why can't I take you to the airport myself? I know
