Sofia's POV

It's been a week since Salvatore left, and I'm a bit worried because he hasn't called or texted yet. I pray and hope he was alright.

Enzo and I were sitting waiting for breakfast so early in the morning. Vacation was over and Enzo had to resume school. That's what's making this so worrisome, Salvatore promised Enzo he would be back before school resumed, but here we are.

Enzo had a sad expression on, and I wasn't feeling any better. Since Salvatore left, it was either I slept in Enzo's room or he slept in mine. We try to be as positive as possible. Sometimes I don't know I space out until he calls my attention, and he does the same sometimes too.

Madam Cassie dropped our food in front of us,

“Here you go. Eat enough. Today is the first day of school again” she tells Enzo who forced a smile at her, but we could all tell he wasn't happy.
