Chapter 54 : The Wedding Night

Laura and Mark drowned themselves in alcohol. “They got married” said drunken Laura giggling. She is crying for the whole day and Mark tried to console her but ended up crying along with her. He also got the invitation but he didn’t go as he didn’t want to see them on the altar.

“What can we do now?” asked Laura tilting her head towards Mark who is drinking vodka.

“For now let’s get drunk” said Mark and put the bottle in Laura’s mouth gesturing her to drink and she did as he said.

Elders left the party with kids at six giving youngsters space. All couples slowly swayed on the dance floor embracing each other. Val and Jack are in the middle of the dance floor. His arms holding her waist with her arms around his neck resting his forehead on hers.

After dancing for a while Jack left Val with the girls and went to talk with boys.

“I don’t think Sun rises in the west” said Sheela once they settled on the chairs.
