Elliot watched me after it got quiet, “Go to prom with me.” he said.

I turned to him confused for a second at the change of subject, “What?”

“Go to prom with me. As a couple, out in the open.” He said. “Would you?”

I didn’t say anything at first before I nod, smiling, “Okay. I will, but prom isn’t for another two months.”

“I know, but I want to make sure that you’ll come with me,” he said as he kisses me. “I really want to enjoy my last year of high school with you.”

“So, does that mean next year you’ll go to my prom?” I asked him. “Going to your prom would be the first time going to any sort of school dance; even though I don’t know how to dance.”
