Chapter 69: "I'm sorry but are you dumb? I just said glue doesn't work on it, why would I try to glue it to my precious shoes then, do you know how much they cost?!"

Tess was faster. Her thin left hand grabbed the chubby aunty's wrist, holding it in a firm grip. She turned her face from the old madam to the aunty who was standing by her left side and narrowed her eyes dangerously. "You would lose your wrist if you tried that again."

The first aunt felt true terror for the first time in her life. Her limbs were visibly shaking and she went mute. She was trying to retract her hand from Tess's grip but it didn't budge. She was at least three times Tess's size but she couldn't use her weight to her advantage. She looked at Tess as if she was staring at a monster.

Pain shot from her wrist and blood rushed to her face as her expression contorted in pain. Her wrist was about to be broken, she could almost hear the cackling sound of her bones breaking but Tess let go at the last minute.
