Chloe's P.O.V
I pulled down the dress a bit so it covered my legs more, I looked around everyone else was wearing shorts and t-shirts, and this black dress is beginning to make me feel more and more different than everyone else.
“Hey Hayley,” I shifted uncomfortably.
“Yeah?” She wondered looking at other clothes through the windows.
“Two things, one; why was that girl being mean to you, and two I feel like everyone is staring at me,” I questioned aggravated as someone catcalled me.
“Okay, I’ll start with Fayne,” She said, sighing and I nodded.
“A couple of years ago when I was seventeen, I had a crush on two people. One was a boy, and the other was Fayne, not how she is now but how she was before.”
“Oh so you like boys and girls,” I stated rather than asked.
“Something like that,” She grimaced a little.
“What does that mean?” I continued.
As we walked to the moving stairs following h

I picked off a blackberry and placed it in my mouth as the flavor exploded into a sweet, sour taste. It was delicious. “Enjoy yourself,” A beautiful voice asked, Chloe. “This place is beautiful,” I says in awe. Suddenly a child ran behind her and ran towards me and I had a strange pull to pick her up, placing her on my hip. I smiled at her and the words I never thought I would hear for a long time came out of her mouth. “Daddy, daddy come play with me,” The little girl laughed as she held herself up with her arms around my neck. Chloe laughed as she watched our so-called daughter be all over me, I looked from the little girl back at Chloe and I just realized she has a ring on her finger. Not the ring I gave her but a wedding band as well, I looked down at my own hand where there was a ring also. I put the little girl down and for the first time I had no idea what to say, suddenly there was a searing pain in my chest making me c
Chloe’s P.O.V I followed Hayley to the bathroom and she opened a closet taking out a big fluffy towel and a washcloth passing it to me. “Okay, shampoo, conditioner and body wash is all right here,” Hayley pointed to the side of the tub. “Okay, thank you I says placing the towel and the washcloth on the floor where the bath mat is sitting. “If you want to feel fancier, we have bath bombs and bath salt in that little basket here as well,” She says passing me a basket. “What’s a bath bomb, does it explode or something, because it sounds pretty dangerous,” I say half smiling. “Oh, well it sounds destructive, but it's actually very relaxing,” Hayley says with a smile, I started to laugh. “I bet it is,” I say jokingly. “Is that sarcasm I’m hearing from you?” Hayley asked slyly. “Maybe a little,” I say shrugging. “Okay well, I’ll let you take your shower just leave your clothes out in the hall an
I sighed and looked up at Chloe, she just shrugged and put addy in her high chair and gave her pasta, which I think is spaghetti. “Where did you learn to cook anyway,” I asked as she went and poured me a glass of water. “Your mother,” She replied placing the glass in front of me. “My mother, you mean we stayed in contact with them?” I asked confused. “They separated, but yes,” she answered with a small smile. “Mommy is uncle Xavier coming over to play today?” Addy asked kicking her feet back and forth in excitement. “Maybe, I’ll give them a call after dinner,” Chloe says as she got a sippy cup out of the drawer. “Uncle Xavier?” I mumbled under my breath. “Yes your baby brother,” She answered as she passed addy her sippy cup full of apple juice. My baby brother... oh shit I have forgotten all about him! I thought to myself. Chloe w
Back down the side streets, the street lights were still on and it was still very early, I yawned and leaned my head against the cool glass. I feel like I spend most of my days either held up in the house, or at work, or at home. Even though I’m ‘free’ now it’s not enjoyable without Colby. “Should we get something to eat or are you going to puke again?” Hayley questioned looking for the closest coffee shop. “I should be able to eat,” I says quietly. “Hey how about we go to the diner to-” Hayley started as she drove into the diner. “No!” I cut her off. “No I can’t go there,” I began to shake, I’m scared. I shut my eyes as my tears spilled down my cheeks. “Okay, okay no need to cry,” She says as we turned around to leave my eyes met Lucey’s. It’s too late, she seen me, but instead of calling Allistair she ran inside her face turned to panic and she
The pain was sharp and quick but I could feel the pressure of the needle prodding my skin, which lasted about three minutes. “Alright I’m done,” He announced I opened my eyes to see him placing a piece of cotton and some tape on my arm, he must have noticed the look on my face because he added. “It’s to stop the bleeding,” He threw away the garbage and got up from his stool again. “The blood work is going to take a couple of hours, so if the two of you would like you could stay here or leave and come back,” Doctor Crowell explained picking up the tubes full of my blood. I looked over at Hayley, this isn’t my choice. She looks as if she didn’t want to be here anymore then I do. “We are going to head out we will be back in two hours,” Hayley explained picking up her purse and searching through it for the car keys. “Well
"It came out positive, Chloe you are pregnant." He says looking me in the eye. "Oh." Is all I could muster out, I didn't know if I should be happy or devastated. "Is there anything else I can help you with today?" He asked slowly. I shook my head, I felt numb and I'm getting angry over the fact that I can't feel anything about it. "Okay, well I'm going to need you to come back in six months," he explained writing on a small piece of paper with a pen. "Why?" I asked confused. "-Because we need to check up on the baby," he explained passing me a note. "Oh," I say again taking the piece of paper from him, Hayley rubbed my back gently and I just sat in silence. I slowly got up and headed back towards the door with Hayley trailing behind me. Neither of us says anything the entire way back to the car, that's when the emotions hit me all at once and I lo
"Chloe, I will take care of you and that baby no matter what." She says honestly. "-But it isn't your responsibility." I sighed. "As long as you're with me I'll be by your side," Hayley sa holding my stare. "The last person who told me that is currently in a coma." I bitterly joked. "Well I won't I'm fine," Hayley reassured. What she doesn’t understand is that she isn’t fine; neither of us is. "Until they realize I'm alive and track me down." my face turned into a frown "But they won't." trying to find the positive side to this situation, which is just making me more angry. I took a breath as I tried to explain my point, "Yes, they will, especially when I make my move." "Wait, you're still on that, I figured you would have given up on that when you found out you were pregnant." Hayley rolled her eyes. “This cou
Colby's P.O.V I've been watching the same crap for four hours, and the pain in my head is slowly going away but regardless I'm still overly tired. Maybe I hit my head off something when I fell and that's why they wouldn't let me sleep maybe they thought I had a concussion. Yawning I got up off the couch and walked to the kitchen, I walked to the kettle and filled it with water as I put it back into place and turned it on, both kids were in bed and my mother is out on the deck talking to my wife. I got a mug and put it beside the kettle as I filled it with my contents; vanilla rooibos tea and a teaspoon of sugar. My hands holding me up against the counter as I yawned deeply as the smell of hot steam filled the room, I turned off the kettle before it begins to boil loudly and poured it into the cup. I placed two teas
