CHAPTER THIRTY-ONE
I looked over at Chloe, she was stunning her sky blue eyes and dark long hair complimented each other, exotic almost.
She talked with Hayley as she rubbed her pregnant stomach, where the twins were growing inside her.
She must be exhausted, I know how high stress this business is, I know why she did it but how did she succeed so brilliantly.
"You love her?" He nodded towards Chloe in question.
"More than anything," I replied.
Jason stood there pretending not to notice, this guy seems over protective for someone who is only a friend.
I glared slightly across the room where Jason was standing.

"We will just pick something up on our way home," Chloe says placing keys inside her pocket. "Oh that reminds me," Chloe begins looking over at Hayley. "Any chance we can take your car for now?" She asked cheekily, it was obvious Hayley sobered up quite quick for a moment. "-And who do you expect to drive, you don't have a driving license." She says strongly. Chloe points to me still smiling as cheeky as ever, I never saw her this way. "He just woke up from a coma, Chloe." She warned her slowly. "That's the one thing I remember how to do," I replied sighing, backing up my fiance.

Wow, I can really see the resemblance now. I snickered to myself for a moment forgetting to read the room. "Is this some fucking joke to you boy?" The man walking around the table to get to me, Jason was already between the two of us before I even took a step. "This ones all Chloe's I'm only here for support." I say serious. "However I am going to point out is that I can see the resemblances, yet the three of you never actually lived together, I guess this is a 'Nature vs. Nurture' thing." "I want a DNA test." Mr. Bayleigh whispered venom. "Okay that's fine where do we get one?" Chloe asked her hands in her pockets as Mrs. Bayleigh pokes and prods her trying to see what's what.

Chloe’s P.O.V “You keep saying how it doesn’t make any sense, but then you go back and say your sorry for ever doubting me, now you are against your brother who came out as gay, because he hid it for so long. Chloe’s P.O.V “The past couple days, there were times where maybe I thought you should have just let me go, and I know that’s selfish, but I don’t want to be the one who is dragging you down.” He spoke slowly, the rain was loud against the roof of the car. “Drag me down? I did all this so we could be together, you made me the way I turned out Colby, if it wasn’t for you getting me out of that basement I would still be there and I would have never been at the place I am now. If it makes you feel any better I too was selfish, the doctors believed you were suffering more in the coma, then if I were to just, let you go.” I confessed, he turned to face the steering wheel. Colby’s P.O.V “I knew I shouldn’t have let you drive, oh my god Colby, what were you thinking?” Hayley yelled at me while I sat on the side of the hospital bed, with my head laid shamefully in my hands, and my eyes shut tight. I couldn’t blame her for anger or her yelling at me, she was right and the question still stands like an elephant in the room. What ‘was’ I thinking? I didn’t have an answer. Doctor Cane walked in with his clipboard in hand, he was a tall man, around 6’3 with graying dark brunette hair and serious green eyes. The white doctors jacket made him look official. “Good evening, Colby. How are you feeling?”
Dove's Cry The Series CHAPTER THIRTY-NINE
I nodded towards the door gesturing to Hayley to follow, we went into the hallway walking in the direction of the infirmary, as the directions on the wall states. The closer we got to the infirmary the more my heart was rising into my throat. "Colby." Hayley grabbed my arm, forcing me to face her. "Do you really not feel anything about this?" I was red-faced as we made eye contact I couldn't hold back my tears any longer, I began to shake as I hiccupped through my quiet sobs. That's when Hayley did something unexpected, she pulled me into a hug and I leaned into her shoulder, tears soaking not only my face but her shoulder as well. All my emotions had hit me all at once, like a tidal wave hitting the shore.
