CHAPTER 43

ELAINE (CATHERINE) ...

I lured Adelaide to sleep. It's afternoon and not an ideal sleeping time but the way she was grievely missing her father I thought a good nap would do it.

Covering her well with the quilt, I stepped out of the room and my eyes met Liam's. With a smile on he devoutly nods at me... "Adelaide fall asleep?" He asked.

"Yes, she did. She was missing her father. She has never stayed away from Edward for such a long time." I said. Frankly, I am not really sure why I am sharing my with the bodyguard. I mean, in our lives we don't do that. Perhaps, Liam was a different kind. He was more like a friend than a bodyguard.

"I am sure she did not. Mr Reinford loves her so much." He replied... "I know you too miss him. Don't worry, he will be here."

I looked up at him and smiled before walking toward to kitchen. He has a positive energy that somehow feels so familiar but I couldn't really put my finger on it.

A glass of milk and a few cookies would do for an afternoon snac
