Chapter 50

Both of them shook their heads as Jessie smiled. They were puzzled as to what was going on. Din and Jessie seemed to be getting along, which was unusual for them. Bev had assumed Jessie had put a potion or something on him to make him nicer because they had fought just the night before. He had insulted her, and now they were behaving as if they were friends?

"How was your night, Jessie?" Bev had asked. Her mouth popped with a strange question she had never asked her sister before. They were both close, but not to that extreme. Bev was the type of person who didn't express emotion or care. When she gets butterflies or hugs, she hates them.

"My night?" Jessie asked, smiling as she exhaled. Her gaze met Din's and she said, "Splendid." After she had served Din, she handed the food to Sierra.

"Is it something good? You appear to be in good spirits." Sierra had asked, and Jessie had nodded.

She lied, saying, "I just had a really lovely dream and I have a feeling today will be a terrific day
