Bev could be seen resting her head on the lap of her sister, Jessie, as Sierra passed by Jessie's closed door. Since she had been in that room for so long, she had probably dozed off.

Sierra felt bad for not telling Bev about her sister. She was also sad, and if someone had neglected to inform her of the same news regarding her brother, she would have also become enraged with them and avoided them in the same way Bev had.

James muttered, "Poor girl," as he observed Bev's head resting on Jessie's legs. He looked down into Sierra's eyes. "Abby will be taking granddad home. You ought to return home and get some rest as well."

"I can't do that. I must remain here with him. He is all I have." sadly, she added.

"Hey, Hey." James knelt down to her level and put both of his hands on her shoulders. "Don't speak that way. You have us here. Granddad, Kevin, and I are here for you. It shouldn't be necessary for you to keep this suffering to yourself. When you want to nag, talk, or cry, we are her
