Chapter 19 An Awkward Position

Song Shuang didn't take her directly to Jinshayuan.

She followed Song Shuang back to the original house.

She wanted to take some underwear and in-season clothes from Gu Baisheng's things and put them in her bag when Song Shuang wasn't paying attention.

After all, even though she was Bai Shengsheng now, Bai Shengsheng's clothes were too hip, too advanced, and too scheming for her to accept.

She would feel better wearing her old clothes.

She remembered there was a small piece of soap she left in the bathroom, which would be quite convenient to wash her underwear with.

Thus, when she went to the bathroom, she washed her hands and started getting that piece of tiny soap from the cupboard underneath the colored glaze platform.

When her child dies, she had a crazy habit. Whenever she saw things like baby soap, she would buy it.

When she got them back, she would realize that she no longer had a kid.

She would then save them to wash her underwear.

But she hated Song Shuang.

Because every time he saw her buying things for kids, he would throw them away without her noticing.

She almost broke up with Song Shuang at the time.

Every time she found her things being thrown away, she would have a huge fight with Song Shuang.

When she mentioned the death of her child, Song Shuang would always slam the door and leave with a cold face as he couldn't argue anything.

Now thinking about these calmly, Song Shuang was probably trying to not invoke her of her trauma when he threw these things away without alerting her.

What about her then?

She was losing her mind at then.

The more Song Shuang forbode her from buying, the more she bought.

The more Song Shuang threw her stuff.

The more she kept them.

Because she was afraid that Song Shuang would find them, she would keep them in a very secret place.

"But why did I hide them so secretly?"

Gu Baisheng frowned. She took a deep breath and lied on the ground with a very awkward posture. She extended her arm at length, trying to get something underneath the cupboard of the colored glaze platform.

When she was about to touch that paper box containing the tiny soap,

she heard a crack.

She heard a crack coming from her arm and neck. She clearly understood what had happened.

She froze as if she had been struck by lightning.

Coincidentally, Song Shuang noticed that she was in the bathroom for a long while and didn't come out. He knocked on the door impatiently, "Miss Bai?"

Gu Baisheng's mouth twitched. She tried so hard to get her hand out of the cupboard, but when she moved, her neck and arm hurt like hell.

She was anxious and blurted out, "Don't come in!"

If Song Shuang saw her getting the tiny soap in the cupboard, it would cause more trouble. He would get to the bottom of this matter and wonder why she knew there was a bar of soap.

She would only make it worse.

So she couldn't let him come in.

Song Shuang detected the panic in her voice. He frowned and asked her in a deep voice, "What's wrong with you?"

"No! Nothing! I didn't..."

Before she could finish the sentence, Song Shuang pushed open the door impatiently.

At that moment, the room fell silent.

Song Shuang's face was dark as if a storm were coming. He stared at her posture. She was sticking up her butt and reaching her hand underneath the cupboard, yet she was stuck. He squinted his eyes, "What are you doing?"

Gu Baisheng was sacred by the ice-cold killing intent in his eyes.

She didn't dare to look at Song Shuang because she was guilty. She dodged his eyes and stammered, "I...I..."

How could she say that she was looking for her hidden baby soap?
