Chapter 39 Your Wife Is Not Dead

Gu Baisheng felt sorry for Zhang Kai.

She couldn't help gritting her teeth.

Zhang Kai took a deep breath and felt wronged.

Gu Baisheng was thinking that it was bad if Qu Xiaobo kept torturing Zhang Kai.

The owner asked someone to prepare the dish immediately.

Zhang Kai dared not speak after getting slapped.

Qu Xiaobo tried to drink down her sorrow. Gu Baisheng asked, "Didn't we agree to have lamb spines at Bai's Restaurant on Christmas Eve last year?"

Qu Xiaobo's fingers shook while she was pouring beer.

Gu Baisheng smiled, "Bai's Restaurant is too far away and must have been booked out. We can't make it on time, so it’s better to eat lamb spines here. Although it doesn't taste as good, we don't break our promise."

Qu Xiaobo looked up at Gu Baisheng in great shock.

Gu Baisheng said to Zhang Kai who was holding Qu Xiaobo to get on the car.

Zhang Kai nodded repeatedly, "OK. I know. It's late now. Please go home too."

"Yeah, fine."

Gu Baisheng was still a bit worried about the drunk Qu Xiaobo.

Qu Xiaobo was so drunk, and her eyes were as swollen as walnuts. She started to reach out her hands when she saw Gu Baisheng pushing her into the car, "We agreed to go to Disneyland tomorrow, Shengsheng. We can go to the Ferris wheel, then the carousel and the trampoline. We're going to play so many games too!"

Zhang Kai tried to drag her hands back.

She burped.

Qu Xiaobo tried all she could and held Gu Baisheng tightly, "You have said that! 32 years old! Go to Hoh Xilwith me! Hoh Xil!"

Gu Baisheng nodded, "Yes, of course. But before that, go home and sleep. We'll set off when you wake up."

"Yeah. I go home, and you go home too."

Qu Xiaobo suddenly understood and pushed Gu Baisheng away, "Go home and have a rest! I'll watch you go home before I leave!"

Zhang Kai urged Gu Baisheng because Qu Xiaobo might change her mind soon, "You can leave first. She'll get on the car after you leave."

Gu Baisheng nodded and left.

Qu Xiaobo was still screaming, "Don't forget your promise when I wake up! I'll kill you if you break your vow!"

She looked back at Qu Xiaobo, and Zhang Kai signaled her to take a taxi.

Gu Baisheng nodded and got in a taxi.

When she got on the taxi, Song Shuang pulled over. Song Shuang was about to call Gu Baisheng when she got in the taxi.

Qu Xiaobo's eyes suddenly lightened up. She jumped in front of Song Shuang and grabbed his collar. She said, "Song Shuang! Song Shuang! Your wife is still alive!"

She shared the good news with Song Shuang.

Song Shuang squinted his eyes after hearing it, "What did you say?"

Zhang Kai interrupted immediately, "Don't listen to her. She's so drunk that she's talking nonsense."

"You're drunk!"

Qu Xiaobo pushed Zhang Kai away, and then she continued with her hand grabbing his collar, "Your new wife is Gu Baisheng! Shengsheng is not dead! She just changed her appearance! She's still Shengsheng, and she knows the secret between us! We agreed to travel to Hoh Xilwhen we're 32. She knows that we said to eat lamb spines and go to Disneyland last year! She knows everything! She's Shengsheng! Didn't you notice it? You're her husband! She phoned me a long time ago saying that she was alive! And Bai Shengsheng was the one who called me!"

Qu Xiaobo kept talking to Song Shuang.

Song Shuang listened to her rambling without uttering a word.
