Chapter Thirteen

Tristan used the silence in the car to think about what could be done about their situation.   He realized too late that he’d acted poorly after sex.  He should have consoled her and whispered loving words into her ear. After all, he’d taken her virginity.  Instead, he lost himself in worry about impregnating her and paid minimal attention to anything else.  He couldn’t even remember holding her in his arms as he ran to the station. His mind was just that pre-occupied.

He had a lot to consider.  First of all, Chloe was a human from the earth’s surface who thought he was the same.  The shock of finding out that he came from inner-earth could be a bit much for her.  If she was indeed pregnant, then it was his duty to divulge his DNA lineage to her, which included the fact that he was part human and part beast. He wanted more time to let her get to know him before he sprung something like that on her.  At least
