Two days! I’ve spent the last two days trying to get to Tiberius in his dream world. But I could only get to August every time I entered his mind. I’ll probably feel bad for leaving Crista, Persephone, and Isis in the bunker later. Someone will let them out when it’s safe, so they don’t need me to use the access code. I have had more than my fill of this bullshit. I want out of this hell hole once and for all. I don’t even know how long it’s been since I was first captured with Thales. But I know that I have been tortured, abused, and terrorized since then. I’ve never been trained in how to use magic. So to wield this much power was nearly impossible. I don’t have the control over it that a seasoned witch like Melania or Bisnonna would. And while I was holding my own, sending out blasts, it wasn’t honed. It was wild and untamed. It was nothing compared to the pinpoint accuracy that Bisnonna used to free Tiberius or as consistent in strength as the blast she sent to counter Melania. I always knew she was a powerful witch. You know how women always say men don’t know real pain because we don’t give birth? Not to sound sexist but fuck that. Try having your life force drained by magic with a witch’s power harpooned through your heart. No epidural can alleviate my pain and every second of this pain feels like hours. I felt so drained, physically and emotionally, after everything that happened. I felt like I could sleep for days. Of course, I knew that wasn’t going to happen. There’s too much that still has to be done. Melania may be dead, but I don’t know how the rest of this war is going. However, I do not doubt that Papa will be victorious. I’ll still need to talk to him and André about everything that happened. About mamma and Bisnonna. I woke up when someone knocked at the door. Opening one eye, I looked to see Tiberius awake and watching me. “You are such a creeper,” I mumbled. “I told you I have slept long enough.” He reminded me. “And maybe I’m a little worried that if I close my eyes, you’re going to disappear, and this will all be a dream, and I’m still trapped in that hell hole.” He admitted. I sighed and gave him a quick kiss as the heavy knock sounded again. “Katrina?” Papa’s voice called out as the door handle turned. We barely had time to sit up before Papa walked into the room.
