Chapter 13

While I did not have complete control in the situation that I found myself in, I did enjoy the fact that I could get away with some things regarding Little Bitch. It gave me a little control – something I desperately needed right about now.

The other person’s name was Fredricks, but I did not care one bit. Knowing his identity was not my priority because I was more concerned with what was about to happen. I was told to lay down on the couch. Fredricks closed his eyes and began chanting in some foreign language. Very weird but okay.

After a couple of minutes, my eyes began to get heavier, and I was being pulled under into oblivion. The chanting was to put me to sleep, and it worked quickly. One moment it was dark behind my eyelids, and the next moment my body slammed against something solid with bruising force. I groaned out with the pain that fall caused.

My eyes opened and looked around. I was sitting in a bright meadow. The crisp autumn wind caressed my skin in greeting.
