Chapter 08

　　\"Joana, what are you talking about?\"

　　Hearing this, the blue veins on Hansel\'s forehead suddenly protruded, and the anger in his eyes became more intense. He immediately grabbed Joana\'s hand again, gradually tightening his grasp on her.

　　However, Joana didn\'t seem to feel anything and she didn\'t frown. Instead, she just looked at him with a cold expression on her face, and said, \"Let go!\"

　　Hansel opened his mouth slightly as if he wanted to say something, but was interrupted by Sherry. She took Hansel\'s arm, shook it gently, and blinked her eyes softly, \"Hansel, if Joana wants to go out and get some air then let her.\"

　　Hearing that, Hansel\'s hand loosened a little. When he thought of Joana\'s body, he wanted to exhort her, but the words came out differently, \"Go out, I don\'t care what happens to you! If you faint outside then don\'t you dare blame anybody but yourself!\"

　　Joana couldn\'t help but laugh sarcastically at his statement. \"Why? When did someone ever care for me? If someone cared about me, then I wouldn\'t have to give my blood even though I was feeling unwell. Now the child in my stomach is gone.\"

　　\"This...\"

　　Joana\'s words made Hansel speechless for a while. When he looked at her pale little face, his heart froze for no reason, and a trace of unbearable and distressed emotions flashed across his eyes.

　　However, these were meaningless to Joana. If Sherry hadn\'t come here today, then maybe she would have followed after her unborn child\'s demise, but Sherry\'s words earlier made her suspicious. She decided that she couldn\'t just let this woman go without knowing the truth of what really happened that year.

　　Finally, Joana looked at Hansel with disgust, \"Hansel, take your dirty hands off of me!\"

　　\"You!\"

　　When has Hansel been treated so coldly like this? Seeing Joana\'s indifferent eyes made his heart tremble that he couldn\'t help but release his grasp on her.

　　As soon as she got her freedom, Joana rushed out to flee, but it wasn\'t long since her miscarriage so she was extremely weak. She had only walked a few steps when her vision suddenly darkened.

　　\"Joana!\"

　　A pair of powerful hands lifted her up from behind. She frowned as her eyesight took its time to restore itself, and when it did, she finally saw the familiar face in front of her.

　　\"Yosef, is that you?\"

　　At this moment, Hansel stood at the door as he watched this scene with a stoic expression on his face.

　　Yosef Xu rushed here as soon as he got the news from Joana, but unexpectedly still arrived a little too late.

　　Thinking of the two culprits behind him, Yosef could no longer restrain his anger, turned his head and stared at Hansel, and shouted, \"Mr. Shen, is this how you treat your wife? How can you let Sherry trample on her like this?\"

　　With that, Yosef\'s cold glare flitted on Hansel and then on Sherry.

　　Sherry was so surprised that she couldn\'t help but shrink back involuntarily at his gaze.

　　Hansel patted Sherry\'s shoulder lightly to comfort her.

　　However, seeing Joana still lying in Yosef\'s arms, Hansel suddenly became annoyed, and his eyes were full of anger, \"Mr. Xu, aren\'t you being too bold? My woman is not yours to take care of!\"

　　Yosef couldn\'t believe what a beast this man was.

　　Yosef cursed silently. Taking into account Joana\'s welfare, he held back his anger and kept it in as much as possible, and just said, \"Of course I can\'t take care of Mr. Shen\'s affairs. However, forcing his pregnant wife to give a blood transfusion that resulted to her miscarriage and almost losing her life, I assume this kind of thing would interest your competitors and major media outlets, am I right?\"

　　\"Mr. Xu, is that a threat? Haven\'t you always disliked covering this kind of gossip news?\"

　　Joana raised her eyes slightly and saw Hansel\'s angry face. She grabbed Yosef\'s hand and said weakly, \"Yosef, please take me away from here.\"
