We didn't need to sleep but we closed our eyes - at least we tried before attacking each other again.

I don't know how long we stayed in the bed shifting positions and creating new styles; me above her, she above me, me behind her, she spooned up against me...I lost track of all the styles but one thing is certain, the other occupants of the hotel knew what we were up to and steered clear of my room.

Also if we had a crew filming us an award for Creativity in Bed would be created and we would win.

Eventually, unbelievably exhausted in a way I never knew vampires could be, Kayla and I fell on our backs breathing heavily. Kayla's head lay on my chest, her hand rested on my chest with her fingers touching the scar over where my heart used to be. Her right leg lay against my groin. I ran my hand up and down her leg wondering how I ever got so lucky.

With life.
