It was a beautiful Monday morning. The morning was bright and clear with the early morning sun dancing merrily on it's slow and majestic but steady journey to the west. Rubin was still in bed when the morning sun sneaked through his window, hitting it's rays on his eyes. He winced, drowsily opening his eyes as he turned to the other side of the bed.
Unknowingly to him, Laura was kneeling beside his bed, staring at him whiles he was asleep. He met eyes with her and visibly blanched at her sight and fell to the floor. He almost forgot the mere fact that he sees ghost and there was a super clingy one following him around. He let out an inaudible sigh as he sat up, fully being conscious of himself now. "God Laura," He groaned. "Must you keep doing this?" He scowled at her as he shrug up and Laura yelped. "Sorry–" She also stood up. "You're no fun at all." She muffled to herself but Rubin heard her and scoffed, turning to have a glance at the clock hanging on the le"We need to talk." She hastily uttered and without waiting for Rubin's response, dragged him along."Hey!" Laura muttered, "Come on Alexis–" She threw her hands dramatically in the air. Her anxiety almost made her forgot that she merely existed. "Who am I even talking to?" She snarled and went after them.Rubin on the other hand, knew without being told what he was in for but then, this wasn't the time. They were both going to get it hard from Mr. Hooks if they should get to class late."Hold on Alexis." He instinctively snatched his hand from her, stopping in his tracks. "I know what this is about but trust me, this isn't the time. Alright." He sighed, pausing for some seconds. "How about we meet on the rooftop during break? I promise to tell you everything you want to know."Alexis wore a sceptical look, staring densely at Rubin as she brooded on whether to believe him or not. "Come on Alexis." Rubin interrupted her thought, swiftly glancing
Ben, Fred and Patrick wearing a blithe look sauntered through the busily filled hallway with students hurrying down the canteen in pairs and groups for their lunch. Their expressions closed up, cold and impassive, everyone who saw them approaching, crawled aside to make way for them. They dare not pass close by to them if they want to have their lunch in peace."Hey", Patrick spoke up with a nudge on Ben's shoulder. "what do you think about that newbie in our class–""Yeah, do you think it's time we let him know who we are in this school", Fred added."Umm_", Ben stuttered with a brooding and calculative gaze.bang!!someone suddenly run into Ben from behind which made him involuntary pause in his words, almost falling to the floor."Damn it!, who the hell is that! ", his voice hallowed through the hall which made the students using the hallway suddenly pause. The hallway went dead silent, making it possible to hear the drop of a
Laura was standing at the entrance to the rooftop, watching her friend paced to and fro when Rubin walked in on her from behind."Was wondering where you left to." He said, making Laura jerked, swiftly turning in the process to meet his face just an inch away. She stood staring at him with those puppy grey eyes and the whole world seemed to froze at that moment.Taking in the sight of those shinning blue eyes, an unusual sensation raced through her heart, making it thump faster. "W–what's this feeling?" She grumbled mentally to herself. It was Rubin's first time having this close eye contact with Laura. He felt those eyes telling him something but couldn't place a hand on what it could be. Her eyes bored into him and for a second, he felt like curbing her face. To assure her he would be there for her and protect her. To tell her everything was going to be alright.A sudden scream from the rooftop brought them back to reality."Alix
IN FRONT OF THE PRINCIPAL' S OFFICEMya found it quiet difficult to get their words and voices clearly since the voice was no longer high pitched like earlier when she heard the yell." why are their voices so low", she cried as she struggled to get a better and clearer recording.Just then, a sudden touch from behind made her jerk up, dropping her books and phone in the process."Oh, no.... ", she gasped. Mr. Hansel with the boys, Ben, Fred and Patrick got tensed by the sound at the door. The room suddenly fell dead silent that a droplet of water could even be heard. They glanced at each other with questioning looks which just read, "Were you expecting someone?".Mr. Hansel instinctively spoke up, knowing well what the looks on their faces meant." I wasn't expecting anyone because I actually cancelled every meeting and appointment just to take care of
"Guess my mind was just playing tricks on me". Mya eluded, her eyes lurked around for the last time before she finally settled in her car and drove off.Ben and his friends, Fred and Patrick quickly came out from their hideout."Where did she go ". Fred cried, his eyes earnestly searched around. Ben and Patrick's gaze followed suit." Over there ", Ben exclaimed, pointing to a white corolla car, exiting the parking lodge. He swiftly sped to his car, a black Tundra, parked a few meters away from them."Quickly, get in, we got to catch up with her before we lose her". He instinctively added. " We can't afford to lose her now."A sense of rage and a wolfish, threatening glare lingered all over his face as he quickly sat over the wheel and boggled his seat belt. Patrick and Fred joined in at the back seat and they sped off with the flash of lightening.
Ben, Patrick and Fred impatiently sat edged on as they waited endlessly in the car for Mya. Fred glanced through the car's window, examining the dense cloud coupled with the howling wind and the streaks of lightening which enveloped the hard- driving rain.It was actually raining cat and dog with basically no sign of ending soon, which made the penetrating cold weather unbearable. He huffed, brushing his palms together." How long are we gonna keep watch over here– I'm actually freezing dead over here ".He winced which made Patrick instinctively elude to prevent any further clash of words with Ben again." As long as she comes out, Fred. Don't just act like you're not aware of the outcome of this mission if we fail – just think for once".With a sharp breath, he leaned back on the seat, took a quick glance at Ben who just sat unconcerned with his eyes fixed on Mya's car and back at Fred who just let out an inaudible sigh and retu
Mya pulled up along the road; she glanced back from the side mirror at the car which also came to a halt a few distance behind her. The driver instinctively waved her over. She sighed and gave a thumbs up. Ben smirked, a roguish glare lingered in her eyes."You know what to do, Patrick" He stated and Patrick tilted his head in response. His gaze was blank and cold." Come with me, Fred" Ben called as he swung the door opened. Fred instinctively sighed."How did I even get myself into this mess?" He cried. "I'm sick and tired of all this –Can't I just have a normal high schooler's life" He lamented as he jerked down.Mya instinctively tucked a lock of hair behind her ear as she reached out for her coat from the seat next to her. She shoved it on and sighed."This day couldn't be any better " She cried as she sauntered down the car. The street was so quiet with no other passing car apart from theirs. And the only source of light was the str
Mrs Army and her family arrived at the hospital. She raced through the corridors with shallow rapid breath while Kelvin and Mr Roberts paced after her as they approached the reception."Take your time, mum– " Kelvin cried with darting eyes. " You, acting up like this might cause your pressure to raise which is dangerous for your health.""How can I, Kelvin?" She howled with a flushed gaze. "How can I when Mya is always like this" She stuttered."Kelvin is right, Amy– I believe Mya is gonna be alright. We're here" Mr Roberts added but Amy just couldn't keep her cool. She swiftly reached to the lady nurse at the reception as soon as they closed up."Hi, Miss" She greeted and the lady instinctively tilted her head in response. Without waiting, Amy queried."Please we're looking for the ward of the young lady who was brought in here some few moments ago–I mean Mya Roberts ""Mya Roberts?" She asked with a furrowed brow, not so cert
