CHAPTER 22 “A RIDE TO WORK"
"HELLO, Uncle Joaquin!"
Lara immediately smiled when she heard Callie's cheerful greeting to Joaquin who had just arrived.
"Good morning, beautiful," was the warm response of the young man then lifted and carried Callie.
"Are you going to have dinner here again tonight?" her daughter asked automatically wrapping her arms around the young man's neck.
“I don’t think so. But I will try,” he replied to the girl.
Callie nodded as if to say she understood everything. She then kissed the young man on the cheek before Joaquin lowered her.
“Let’s go?” Joaquin asked her.
"Okay," Lara replied. "Bye, Callie," she said as she bowed her head and kissed her daughter’s forehead.
Her father also came out of the terrace. That was when she and Joaquin said goodbye to him.
"Last night when you left, Ramil came," she began the story when they were on the road.
