Sliding out of the car, Evan’s powerful arms hauled me out of the driver’s side as if I weighed like a sack of feathers. From another person’s vantage point, his wrist might look healed and well. Too bad, I know he took with him the bottle of pain relievers that are prescribed for the entire week.
