Chapter 29

Avery carefully swung her legs over the edge of the bed and sat up. She forced herself to get up after the doctor left for some time.

As soon as she reached the door, the doctor's words came rushing into her head which was unbelievable for her as the man he knew wouldn't even want to get close to her.

“Oh geez! He might have done that out of pity!” She mumbled and steadily pushed the door open. She had been expecting her maid to come over when she woke up but she didn't, which was unusual for her.

Avery walked downstairs but found no one in the mansion, the mansion was silent with no maid interaction like usual which was making her throat itchy.

“Hello, is anyone there?”

“Hello, where are you guys?” She yelled frustratedly with different weird thoughts going through her head.

Avery, frozen instantly, the moment ran through her head,” What if she has finally died and she became a ghost that no one can see her?” She thought but that only made her shiver in fear.
