Melissa's POV

I looked away not wanting to stare into those eyes of his. At that moment, all that occupied my mind was finding a way to get to my father. Although I have no idea who the woman at the river is, she didn't introduce herself and with the look of things, she knows so much but chooses not to say a word.

"Is there something wrong with you Melissa?" Nelson's question broke through my thoughts.

I looked really surprised that he just asked me such a question.

"Why do you want to know? It's not like you do care" I responded looking away from him.

To my surprise, he walked closer to the bed, his eyes not leaving me.

"You don't have to prove to me how stubborn you are Melissa. It's been weeks now and you are yet to make up your mind concerning the suggestion I laid down.
