I watched as Jessie's face turned pale as she stared into space, immediately, I dropped the bombshell of me meeting my mate. She looked shocked and… disappointed? Why would she be or I think I was being too observant due to the happenings.

"Are you okay, Jessie?" I asked, touching her shoulders.

" Oh, Gregg! I am just… worried about you. I… you know how you always talk about mates being someone's weakness and that they… they would be the death of you.." She stuttered, avoiding my gaze.
