“What happened?!” Liam exclaims when he sees the bruise underneath my eye. I shrug and walk into his house. “Mountford’s quarterback decided to pay me a visit.” Is all I say while we go towards the kitchen.
Liam hands me a pack of frozen peas. “Babe, I’m fine, really. Dale and Matt chased them off after they ambushed me and took me out for drinks. I held a cold beer against my eye for about half an hour.”
“I’m going to pretend I didn’t hear talks of underage drinking!” Dr Marsh shouts from the kitchen, and my stomach drops. “Fuck,” I mutter. “Hey, Dr Marsh,” I say, walking over to her and planting a kiss on her cheek.
