"It wasn't meant to last this long. This wasn't even supposed to happen."

Brandon wondered what his grandfather's reply would be. He had expected an interrogation but certainly not this way and certainly not in the presence of his parents. He had no idea what he had been expecting after the call from his grandfather but a part of him had hoped it wouldn't be this much of a hot seat.
